When I order Chinese food I tend to frequent this Chinese place they have carry out with few tables inside the normal selection of Chinese food in order by number style menu but it seems to me that they offer better quality ingredients and give you more portion for your money I love the cashew chicken and my family always get some boneless chicken as well as the sweet and sour chicken and are willing to accommodate my picky daughter with no lettuce no vegetables and no meat in her fried rice it does not have 5 stars for one simple reason which is it is very very hard to understand when placing your order I don't seem to have a problem but everybody in my family does as well as other customers that I have had to help translate simple words like will that be it give it a try it will be worth your Chinese craving while

The last time I went here the food wasn't good. I was really shocked at the inconsistency of my meal. I ordered the sesame chicken rice and gravy but it was way off

***UPDATE*** Since leaving my review, I've spoken with the owners. They're both very nice people, who clearly were having an off day when we last visited. I tried the no meat fried rice one last time - it was much better this time around! They even gave us a Chinese calendar for at home. Try them out! :)

This place has the BEST General Tso's chicken ever!!! The kitchen is kept very clean. You can see it from the front. The owners are so sweet and care about you. We are so lucky to have them in our community. Go now and have the greatest General Tso's chicken you will ever have!!!

Hands down, best Chinese food. They are always so nice and the food is always made fresh and is delicious. My favorite dish is sweet and sour chicken, and the sauce has big chunks of pineapple, green pepper and carrots (seems like most other places it's just like a sauce and then the chicken with no veggies or anything). I truly recommend it! Never have had a bad experience.

Clean, fast and friendly. The food was fresh and there was plenty of it. My only disappointment was the egg roll tasted to much like raw bean sprout. Everything else was good and fresh.

This place has amazing Chinese food and nice staff. They have the best orange chicken in Michigan.

I had the Gen Tso's chicken dinner combo. The fried rice was a bit bland but the chicken was delightful. Nice, big, crispy white meat with a sweet and spicy sauce. The eggroll was huge and delicious. I will go back there again.

Our family ordered a huge take-out order, and overall we were happy with it. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars if that was possible. Pros: *Almost everyone seemed happy with their food, which included Almond Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and Mixed Chinese Vegetables. Most said it was very good. *They were willing to make a dish that was not on the menu, but was a combination of two that were. *The prices were great, with large portions. We have a ton of left-overs and could definitely have ordered far less. I probably ate leads than 1/2 of the Mixed Chinese Vegetables. *You can choose between a "small" and "large" for many of the menu options. Cons: *It was ready ~20 minutes later than it was supposed to be, perhaps because it was such a large order and because they were especially busy (both of the other Chinese restaurants nearby were closed today, one of which is usually open Mondays). I suspect this was unusual but am not sure. *The veggie fried rice was a bit dry.

The food is usually good but we got some spoiled food this time. I called and told the mom I was bringing it back and wanted my money back. Her only concerned was that I ate some of it. Well once I run into the spoiled part it's all bad to me. She never apologized for the bad food instead told me never to come back and got mad at me. So i guess good service is measured in how you handle problems. She wanted me to pay for the part that was spoiled and she would replace the egg roll. It don't work like that. If i find hair in food my appetite is ruined. Same with spoiled food. It says a lot that she gave me my money becuase customers were coming and she wanted to hush me up. She also put her hands on me as she was saying get out of my store. The mother is a very very rude person if you don't see things her way. Her smile is a front she puts on for your money but if she is wrong then you see the real lady. I will add she never once told me she was sorry for the spoiled food. If you like good service I don't recommend this place. I would have eaten here again but the way my wife and I were treated was unreal. How does she get mad at me becuase she sold me spoiled food.

I am completely confused how this place could have such high ratings. Except I'm not. I travel from the West Coast back to Detroit to see family--and sometimes we get carry out from here. And it's not memorable. Broccoli beef in a thick, gelatinous sauce (not that oily, but still)....Singapore noodles with too much grease, no spice and not enough shrimp and other things lurking in the noodles. Vegetables buried in some anonymous brown sauce. Oh no. I mean, no one got sick or anything and we all ended up full---but still... On the bright side, the people are hardworking and pleasant. And oddly, if the order is tuned by ordering in Cantonese, the entire food experience bumps up a notch (I think they cook to a Chinese palate in that case rather than an Americanized one)... One might want to consider making the effort to cross town and go to Golden Harvest if you're going to have Chinese food in Detroit....And yes, I realist this entire review could be lethally tainted by West Coast snobbism. I can't help it.

I heard it was bad here, but still tried it anyways. The food is the worst Chinese food I've ever had, which is weird because I honestly didn't think you could make bad Chinese food. Plus, I ordered crab rangoons and there was nothing in the middle lol....

I went to the dentist today and, of course, after being bad (i.e. eating too much sugar and chewing on ice) - I needed some repair work done on a couple of molars. Needless to say, my mouth had to be numbed and I couldn't eat for several hours. At around noon (I skipped breakfast), my stomach began to digest itself so I stopped at this little chinese place on Mack in the middle of running some errands. I really enjoyed the food. I ordered a lunch platter which comes with fried rice and an egg roll as well as a main course of your choosing. The egg roll was filled with bean sprouts - just the way I like it. Love the egg roll. The fried rice was very tasty as well. I did order a 'keep it safe' lunch by going with the almond chicken (considering that my mouth had not yet regained any feeling), but it was very good - I liked the gravy a lot. The portion was huge - for $5.25, it could easily feed 2 people. The chicken was a little greasy but still delicious. They lose a star for only carrying pepsi and bottled water as beverages. Granted, they are primarily a carry-out place, but there are tables to sit down and I am anti-pepsi. The also lose a star because I could taste the grease in the chicken.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
